I have 32 years of experience as an educator, including two decades as an elementary school teacher. I also spent 10 years working in special education. As an educator, I like to help students realize their capabilities, showing them they can achieve whatever academic task they set their minds to. My favorite thing to do is to help students develop the skills and tools they need to become effective problem solvers and independent learners. Every student should have the opportunity to maximize their academic potential for a successful academic career and life. I'm excited to work with new students to help them reach their goals. I can tutor elementary school math, reading, writing, phonics, study skills and organization, special education, English through the college level, middle school level math, and test preparation for assessment and admissions exams such as the STAAR, SSAT, and ISEE. When I have some spare time, I like to travel, cook, and read.
