Mason M.
Private tutor in Burleson, TX
Education
I have graduated in December of 2014, from Austin College with a Bachelor's of Arts in Computer Science, and a minor in Media Studies. I also graduated from Burleson High School in 2010 where I had a GPA of 3.25.
Experience
I tutored students in the computer lab on campus in Java programming, for free. I also tutored a girl from the local high school (Sherman High) in Algebra II. I don't remember my exact SAT score, but I believe it was somewhere around 1600/2400. I want to be a tutor because I want to impart knowledge to others and help them achieve their potential. I know that school isn't always easy, and it's always nice to have a helping hand. Relevant class for high school Algebra: Algebra I and II in high school for Statistics: required Statistics college course for Computer Science major. for SAT Math: I have taken the SAT a couple times and I know the kinds of questions that they ask. Plus my Math scores were always good. I haven't "taken" a class on it, but seeing as it is very similar to Algebra, my knowledge of that subject should suffice. for Math: required Math class throughout public school, including Algebra and Pre-Calculus classes, plus Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, and Calculus I in college. for Spanish: introductory Spanish classes in elementary school, as well as required language competency courses in junior high, high school, and college all in the Spanish language. for Java: introductory and intermediate Java programming classes in college required for all Computer Science majors.
